One way is to simply grab the top handle of the window and drag it to the top left corner of the screen and then diagonal drag the bottom right corner of the window to fill the screen, and then close the window, and reopen it, it should remember the size, repeat for other windows that are smaller than your screen size. Then repeat the first suggestion if the window snaps back and you can’t drag it to fill the screen.

The only solution I could find was to somewhat farcically put my laptop in portrait mode sideways screen which allowed me to access the buttons at the bottom of said program window. Surely that would be an obvious feature? You name it and I have tried it and still cannot fit all text on the screen on lastminuteauction. None of this is important however as you will simply choose to fit your display to the screen size by accessing the visual settings on your computer. You can also right click a blank screen to access the Settings menu.

Depending on your operating system you will either choose Fit to Screen or Change size of text, apps and other items. Set the option to scaled to fit the display to the screen size. Your suggestion to roll back the driver is a known fix, as well as updating the driver. Besides choosing Roll Back on Display device Driver tab in Device Manager, if that doesn’t work or is greyed out you can also choose Update driver, then Browse PC, then Let Me Pick to have a list of all previously installed drivers to try them, working backwards.

Just to add to my prior comments. My screen looked great for several years, and when I updated to Windows 10 some years ago it still looked great.

Then suddenly after the most recent Windows 10 automatic update the computer footprint was not filling the entire screen – with an even border on all sides with nothing and spatial distortion on what was seen. I didn’t touch anything. Tried rebooting. Then I looked up this issue and saw the above method of “updating”.

But my problem was Windows had screwed it up by updating. So I first tried to “Update” the driver and got the message that I was using the latest driver. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community. A window that is maximized cannot be resized. Furthermore, certain types of windows cannot be resized at all.

As you can see in the image below, there are two buttons for resizing a window automatically. When the upper-right section of the window looks like , your window is now in “resize mode,” meaning you can use the mouse cursor to make the window any size you want. To do so, move the cursor to any edge or corner of the window until a double-headed arrow appears. When this arrow appears, click-and-drag to make the window larger or smaller. If this double-headed arrow does not appear, the window cannot be resized.
