Details required :. Cancel Submit. Previous Next. DaveM Independent Advisor. Right click your Desktop, choose Display Settings and set it from there, if you get an ‘Out of Range’ error, do nothing and it will come back itself after 10 seconds. Thanks for your feedback. How satisfied are you with this reply? Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. In reply to DaveM’s post on October 15, Thanks for that Dave but I have it set as high as possible which is the default recommended res.

Cheers Richard. Richard, one question, if you open Device Manager accessible by right clicking your Start Button.

Then expand the Display Adapters section, what graphics card is reported there? Intel R HD Graphics Click on Add and then Yes when prompted with a confirmation dialog. Also this is only meant to be used as a temporary fis so you can run your Diagnostics app. If you intend running that app on a regular basis, I would suggest getting a bigger monitor.

Thanks Dave. Made it there and set a size a little higher but warning message The custom resolution exceeds the max bandwidth capacity. Have not proceeded!

Hi RIchard, well that would be the only real way of being able to see the full diagnostics app window. It would be as I said a temporary fix and the best option is a larger monitor. That must e really badly written diagnostics application if it does not scale to your screen size! I think it is pretty old software but in general use for diagnostic use. I’ve accepted the warnings several times and gone to set the screen res.

Should I have done something additional Dave? If the custom resolution was not set, then the Intel software cannot set the resolution on your device. I have just restarted the laptop n the hope that would help by no joy. Is there anything else you can suggest that I try? This site in other languages x.
