One of our employees is unable to connect to Zoom using the desktop app and keeps getting the error on an M1 Mac. The user does not have a firewall, VPN, anti-virus or proxy. Here’s what we’ve tried:. They are able to use Zoom via browser, just not the desktop app, so we know their account is working. They are able to use it on other devices as well. Short of doing a full OS reinstall which seems extreme and unnecessary , I’m stuck.

Without installing the Rosetta App – Thank you. Awesome thanks, this was the exact same problem that a co-worker had and this resolved the issue! For anyone coming here who doesn’t have their issue fixed following the accepted answer, there’s another way. And it worked for my problem.

Instead of dragging Zoom to the Trash from Applications, you can uninstall Zoom through the app! This worked in my case where no network connections seemed to be working in Zoom and no combination of uninstalls , restarts, and reinstalls fixed it except for doing so through the Zoom app.

Zoom Community. The admin may need to assign a Zoom Phone license or calling plan. The phone number you dialed does not exist or is invalid. Double check that the number you dialed is correct. If dialing an international number, make sure to include the country code, area code, and phone number. Please contact your admin. Your admin may have removed a calling plan for outbound dialing.

You may need to change your network firewall or proxy server settings. Please check your network and try again later. The number you dialed is temporary unavailable; for example, the other party may be unavailable or declining the call.

Due to the way how a VPN app is working, it might create conflicts with your network connection and Zoom. To ensure that Zoom can access your network connection properly, make sure that it is allowed on your Firewall. Just like Windows Firewall, a proxy server acts as a security layer between your system and the internet.

Your proxy server settings might be causing issues with the Zoom app and it tries to block it from accessing your network. To fix this, temporarily disable your proxy servers while using the Zoom app. Note : That this method is not recommended as it is unsafe. Press OK to return to the Internet Properties window.
